HOSPICE House of Hope offered free palliative care services for 20,000 patients and their families in 24 years

HOSPICE House of Hope has succeeded in offering free palliative care services for 20,000 patients and their families in 24 years. It was mostly due to the companies through “fiscal facilities 20 percent”, but also due to individuals.

In one year,  HOSPICE took care of 3,500 patient with incurable diseases. The specialists made 2,916 kinesiotherapy treatment sessions, 849 hospital admissions in HOSPICE units, 1,572 psychological-emotional counseling sessions, 4,867 consultancies, 1,095 consultancies interventions in partners hospitals and 17,531 visits for palliative care at home.

Currently,  HOSPICE House of Hope has two centers of integrated services of palliative care, in Brasov and Bucharest, and two mobile interventions teams, in Fagaras and Zarnesti. The first center was set up in Brasov in 1992 and in 2004 in Bucharest. The one from Bucharest attracted an investment of EUR 5.7 million.
