Holcim Romania launched the new cement terminal in Roman, Neamt county, after a RON 12.5 investment.

The new terminal, with a surface of 13,120 sqm, will provide with cement the Holcim clients in counties in the Moldova, Bacau, Neamt, Vaslui, Iasi, Botosani and Suceava. The terminal is connected to the railway network and is equipped with automated installations for loading and unloading that cut the time needed for completing and delivering orders.

Thanks to this new cement terminal in Roman we are coming closer to the local partners and are taking a step towards supporting a region that needs solutions and sustainable and technologically advanced products to progress, to continue the development of the infrastructure network, and to build new public utility products as well as real estate projects. We know the needs of clients in the region so that we can build efficiently together and to be able to support their efforts. This new terminal covers and welcomes the development plans of our local partners,” Holcim Romania director general Sofiane Benmaghnia said.

The cement that will be delivered to clients in the region via the Roman terminal will be transported on rail from the company’s two local factories in Campulung an Alesd.
