H&M is to open its 52th store in Romania in Constanta, in Tomis Mall. The Swedish retailer is the fashion brand with the highest sale figures in the country.

Covering a surface of over 1,900 square meters, this is the retailer’s third store in Constanta and will open on December 1.Tomis Mall is a traditional shopping destination for Constanta, and the positioning nearby the historic center and of the most important universities and highschools in the city, represented a crucial factor in H&M’s choosing the project,” DTZ Echinox Partner Retail Department Bogdan Marcu.

Tomis Mall is the first commercial center in Constanta and has a built surface of approximately 38,000 square meters.

H&M opened the first shop in Romania in March 2011 inside AFI Palace Cotroceni shopping mall and, since the beginning of the year, has opened seven stores în Bucharest (Park Lake and Veranda), Craiova, Satu Mare, Focsani, Ploiesti, Iasi and Timisoara. The retailer posted sales of EUR 161,7 on the Romanian market in the first nine months of the fiscal year (1 december 2015 – 31 August 2016) up by 19 percent year-on-year.

The Hennes&Mauritz Group, founded in Sweden in 1947, owns six brands: H&M, COS, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday and &Other Stories.
