Hilton Worldwide signs franchise agreement for a DoubleTree hotel in Ploiesti

Hilton Worldwide announced it signed a franchise agreement with Valdor SRL to open a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Ploiesti. The project entails the refurbishing and upgrading of the Prahova hotel, which will have 242 rooms, two restaurants, a terrace bar and a Precor fitness center.

DoubleTree by Hilton plans to open three hotels in Romania over the course of the next year in Oradea, Bucharest and Ploiesti. At the same time, the Ploiesti transaction represents the seventh Hilton Worldwide hotel in its brands portfolio that is operational or being developed in the country.
