HBO Max goes Live in Romania on March 8

HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s premium streaming platform, arrives in Romania on March 8, 2022, it has been confirmed today, replacing HBO Romania. HBO Max offers a world of high-quality entertainment from beloved content brands, including Warner Bros., HBO, DC and Cartoon Network, Max Originals, and much more.

 

Attractive pricing has also been revealed. The monthly subscription for HBO Max will be priced at €4.99. However, to celebrate the arrival of HBO Max, active direct-billed subscribers to HBO Romania will be automatically migrated to the new platform and pay a discounted price of just €3.30 a month. The promotion will save customers more than 30% off the monthly price for the lifetime of their subscription. New customers who sign up before March 31 will also be able to subscribe at this reduced monthly price.

After March 31, as well as the monthly subscription being available, a new yearly subscription will be introduced for the price of €39.90, offering continued outstanding value with 12 months access for the price of eight. HBO Max brings together new and iconic series and movies from Warner Bros., HBO, DC, Cartoon Network and Max Originals in one place for the first time, including Warner Bros. movies just 45 days after their theatrical release. Top Warner Bros. films that will be available include The Matrix Resurrections, Dune, King Richard and The Suicide Squad.

New Max Originals include Station Eleven, Peacemaker, Raised by Wolves season 2 and Sex Lives of College Girls. European Max Originals coming to the platform include Todo Lo Otro, Kamikaze, Lust, Ruxx, The Thaw, The Informant and Garcia! There’s non-scripted entertainment with Expecting Amy, Finding Magic Mike, FBoy Island and Selena + Chef. Kids content includes Teen Titans Go!, The Amazing World of Gumball, Looney Tunes Cartoons and Cocomelon.*

Customers will be able to pay via major providers (VISA, Mastercard, and PayPal) and via in-app purchases in major markets (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Samsung Checkout).

HBO Max offers fans an enhanced viewing experience. Features include personalisation with up to five viewer profiles, three simultaneous streams, no limit on registered devices per subscription, 5.1 surround sound, Dolby Atmos, and select titles available in 4K.

HBO Max is currently live in 46 territories across the Americas and Europe, with that rising to 61 on March 8 when HBO Max will launch in an additional 15 European countries. HBO Max is going global as part of a phased roll out and later this year will expand to a further six European countries including Greece and Turkey.
