A total of 50 recycling bins will be placed in Bucharest after the City Hall signed a partnership with the Green Group. The announcement was made by Bucharest City Hall Gabriela Firea.
“Following this agreement, 50 containers for waste sorting will be placed in the capital, eight or nine in each sector. We thought, in particular, of the areas around schools, high schools, parks. Because in general, children, young people, are those who learn easier.”
According to the information released, some of these centres are automated, and at some there will be a person in charge of it. Also, Firea explained, there will incentives for those who will use the bins. The waste sorting system will include a minimum of four containers, namely for plastic, glass, metal and paper and cardboard.
Minister of Economy Mihai Fifor and Gratiela Gavrilescu, deputy PM also attended the event.
