The Interministerial Committee for the Centennial has approved 114 eligible projects with a total value of RON 45.5 million during Wednesday’s government meeting, according to a statement by the Ministry of Culture and National Identity (MCIN).
The ministry says that 232 projects to celebrate the Romanian Centennial were submitted and a commission including 11 cultural specialists and experts selected 114 eligible projects, of which 67 will receive full financing from the MCIN (RON 12.4 million) and 47 will get partial MCIN financing (RON 33 million).
Culture minister George Ivascu said that the remaining budget will be allocated to a new call for projects, which will be open shortly. He added that the contracts for the 114 selected projects will be signed during the following days.
