Gheorghe Mihailescu appointed general director of Romsilva for four months

The board of directors of Romsilva decided on Thursday to replace general director Dragos Ciprian Pahontu with the head of the Forest Directorate Valcea, Gheorghe Mihailescu, who will occupy the provisional position for four months.

Gheorghe Mihailescu graduated from the Faculty of Forestry and Forest Exploitation at Transilvania University in Braşov in 1990 and worked as a forest engineer for 21 years and during this period occupied executive and management positions.

Over the last six years he has been the director of the Forest Directorate Valcea, a territorial structure of the National Forest Administration – Romsilva.

The National Forest Administration – Romsilva administers 3.14 million hectares of forests the state’s public property and 22 national and national parks with an area of ​​approximately 850,000 hectares.
