Nearly 30 percent of the internet surfers who live in the city in Romania have made online acquisitions over the past year, according to a study by GfK Romania.
A quarter of the people who buy online do this at least once a month.
Young people are generally those who make online acquisitions. Thus, young people between 18 and 24 represent 37 percent of those who buy online. Young people between 25 and 34 represent 31 percent of the buyers while people between 34 and 44 represent 26 percent of buyers.
People who live in Bucharest (36 percent) and people with higher education (40 percent) are more prone to make online purchases.
What buyers are mostly likely to order are electronic products, home appliances, telephones (44 percent), clothing and accessories (28 percent) as well as personal care products (22 percent) and books, CDs, and DVDs (22 percent).
