German Karl Gruppe interested in Romanian hydro power sector

The German company, Karl Gruppe, is interested in developing projects in the hydro energy sector, according to an official press statement from the Ministry of Economy.

Karl Gruppe representatives met today with Ion Ariton, the Romanian minister of Economy and expressed their interest for small hydro power plants that are currently out of order.

Ion Ariton presented Karl Gruppe the possibility of joining Hidroelectrica in the technical refurbishment process of several small hydro plants, or to participate in tenders for out of order power plants.  

At present, Hidroelectrica is evaluating the status of the small hydro power plants it owns.
