The GE Money financial entities in Romania will rebrand under the Garanti name following the sale by GE Capital of the 26.7 percent stake in the joint venture with Garanti Bank. The Garanti Bank symbol – the four-leaf clover – will thus be present in the visual identity of the former GE Money non-banking entities, which are also changing their names. Motor Active Leasing will function as Garanti Leasing, Ralfi will change its name to Garanti Credite de Consum, while Domenia will be renamed Garanti Credite Ipotecare. The rebranding process is expected to be finalized by the end of January of next year. After the takeover, the Garanti Group will have over 450,000 clients for its financial and banking services on the local market.

Garanti Bank is a universal bank, with services for all segments – retail, SMEs and corporate. It opened on the local market in 1998, and has a portfolio of over 200,000 clients. The bank owns 65 agencies and150 ATMs. It is the 14th largest bank in the local banking system by assets, which in 2010 stood at EUR 1.2 billion.
