Dairy producer FrieslandCampina Romania has opened a new production line for cheese in Cluj-Napoca following a EUR 1.3 million investment, which will triple its output.
The company has a yearly investments program of over EUR 3 million to enhance production at its plants in Cluj-Napoca and Targu Mures and to develop new products under the Napolact brand.
Cornel Caramizaru, the general director of FrieslandCampina Romania, said the investments in Cluj-Napoca will support the Napolact brand, which is the biggest in the company’s portfolio.
In 2016, the company returned in the black posting sales of RON 331 million, up 4 percent year-on-year.
FrieslandCampina owns the brands Napolact, Frico, Milli, Oke and Dots. The company is part of Dutch Royal FrieslandCampina.
