Ford Romania gets a new GM as of January 1

Jan Gijsen, currently director for the new markets division of Ford Europe, was appointed president of Ford Romania and director of the Ford Factory in Craiova. The nomination becomes valid starting next year. Gijsen will also be responsible for the relation between Ford Europe and Ford Otosan factory, a joint-venture in Turkey.

He is taking over from Campos san Onofre who held the poistion for the past two years and who was appointed general direcot for production at the Ford factory in Valencia, Spain. Gijsen has been with Ford for the past 30 years, holding various positions in production over the years.

“Mr. Gijsen will coordinate the operations at Ford Craiova in a time when the factory is getting ready for launching new products and for reaching the maximum production capacity,” said company representatives.
