Flanco International will open in February a new Flanco World store in Sun Plaza. The store will span on a surface of 2,000 sqm and will become the main store of the network, after the one in Feeria commercial center is closed. According to the representatives of the company, the closing of the Baneasa store will be finalised this week.

The investment necessary for opening the new Flanco World presupposes a minimum financial effort from the company, since part of the fixed assets and the merchandise stock will be relocated from the store in Feeria.

„We are expecting much more traffic in the Sun Plaza commercial center, because we are talking firstly about a residential area with a commercial potential insufficiently exploited until now, in which such a retail park was needed,” said Adrian Olteanu, Deputy General Manager in Flanco International.

Flanco operates two retail networks, Flanco and Flanco World, having in total around 70 stores. Flanco International is part of retailer Flamingo International. In December, Flamingo asked for the initiation of the insolvency procedure for Flanco International SRL to be protected from creditors, after ING started the forced execution of the merchandise stocks in some stores, a request which was approved by the Bucharest Court of Law.
