China Town Romania, a company controlled by Chinese investors, is working on a real estate project in Afumati, close to Bucharest. The project will necessitate an investment of EUR 100 million, Mediafax writes.
The first stage of the project is finalized. It contains 5 lines of showroom- type stores built in 9 warehouses which include 350 modern commercial spaces. By February 2011, other 3 warehouses will be erected. In total, 1,240 stores will be opened with an investment of EUR 41 million, according to a press release of the Chinese- Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The second stage of the project will require an investment in excess of EUR 50 million. The works will be finalized between 2011 and 2013.
The project will comprise dwellings, green spaces, schools and kindergartens, stores, restaurants and warehouses.
