The first section of the Comarnic-Brasov highway, measuring 6.3 km and 3.7 km connecting roads, will be built by Asocierea Alpenside – Specialist Consulting after a RON 118 million contract was signed on Monday.
Works on the first section of the Comarnic-Brasov highway, comprised between Rasnov and Cristian will take 24 months. The warranty is 48 months.
“I want to tell the developer that we do not accept delays, and extensions … I want quality things. There are 24 months, this means that in 2019 we will drive on this highway,” Transport Minister Razvan Cuc said.
According to the contract, the highway sector stretches over 6.3 kilometres, plus 3.7 kilometres of national road with four lanes. The Rasnov-Cristian sector is part of the second sector (Comarnic – Brasov), a part of the Bucharest-Brasov highway, stretching over 168 kilometres.
The Comarnic-Brasov sector is divided in 5 sectors. Sectors 1 and 5 have a total length of approximately 10 kilometres, plus connecting roads. The overall length of the Comarnic-Brasov highway is 58 kilometres, and the estimated amount needed for it stands at EUR 997 million without VAT, respectively EUR 1.237 billion with VAT.
