Firms with incomes below half a million euros will have a unified fiscal regime from August, after the tax on the income of micro-enterprises will be implemented with the purpose to attract to the system those who are subject to the specific tax, the Ministry of Public Finance said in a press release.
The Ministry of Public Finance supports the taxpayers and the business environment with Law 177/2017 which brings important changes to the Tax Code, the institution said. The law published in the Official Gazette no.584 of July 21, 2017, clarifies some measures, reformulates and regulates the conditions of economic activities.
MFP states that the measures include the creation of a unitary tax regime for legal entities that earn less than EUR 500,000 income by applying the tax on the income of micro-enterprises, with the purpose to bring into this system also the legal entities that carry out the activities that are subject to the specific tax.
The measure applies from 1 August, with transitional rules being laid down.
