As per current regulations, companies have the obligation to set up emergency services. Following a wave of requests from public institutions and the business environment, the deadline was pushed back, from 23 July to December 31.

According to the law regarding the defense against fire, according to the activity type and dimension, firms must set up two private services for emergency situations, C1 and C2.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations started the elaboration of a replacement project and the amendment of the order to set up the obligations. The revision of the normative act will take into account the establishment of some criteria for facilitating fire intervention cars and the criteria that establish the obligation for C1 and C2 services for firms and institutions with different destinations and the regulation of the situation in which a company doesn’t have the obligation of private service set up, but sets up the service or closes contracts with a private service.

If the companies or institutions don’t have their own service, they have to close contracts with voluntary services, economic operators or institutions that set up their own services or companies that provide services.
