Finance Ministry: Submission deadline for Unified Tax Statement is July 16

The deadline for submitting the Unified Tax Statement on income tax and social contributions for individuals is Monday, July 16, according to an announcement by the Finance Ministry.

The form needs to be filled out and submitted by the individual who make revenues, individually or in an associative form, in Romania and/or abroad, as well as those who owe income tax and mandatory social contributions. Individuals who don’t make any revenues and choose to pay the health insurance contributions must also submit the Unified Statement.

The Statement can be submitted online,  both through the Virtual Private Space as well as through the e-guvernare.ro platform. It can also be submitted on paper at the ANAF offices or by mail through a letter with delivery confirmation.

A 5 percent discount of the income tax for 2018 will be offered for individuals who submit the form by July 16 and pay the tax fully by March 15, 2019. The discount will also be awarded for social contributions owed according to the law.
