A tanker truck exploded this morning on the ring road in Bologna, a city in northern Italy, causing a huge fire, Italian firefighters announced.
According to the Italian media, there are many injured, but their exact number is not known right now. The latest estimates published by TG24 Sky show there are two dead and 60 injured.

The explosion, whose causes are not known at the moment, occurred in Borgo Panigale, near the airport.
Firefighters images show a black smoke column rising above the truck casing and flaming cars in a parking lot next to the highway.
Firefighters are on the scene, their intervention is under way, said Italian firefighters in a Twitter post.
The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) said that up to now it doesn’t have information about any Romanian citizen hurt in the accident.
