Around 100 people attended last Thursday the Spring Cocktail 2014 – the top executives’ reunion for the Romanian energy market. The guests discussed trends in the local and regional industry on the backdrop of European change of paradigm and political turmoil in Ukraine.

The evening was opened with the launch of the energynomics.ro magazine’s first number in 2014. Another 184 pages, fully bilingual format and attractive design, capturing the trends and essential themes in the Romanian energy industry: news, analyses and opinion from personalities directly involved in the decision of the regulators and the most dynamic companies.

“I would like to believe it is more than a simple magazine – it is the story of energy sector in Romania told every three months, in an international format… a story told by the main actors of the sector”, said Sergiu Spataru, managing partner with WMEC and the publisher of the energynomics.ro magazine.

The main theme of the evening – Forecasts for 2014 – was introduced by Milan Kalal, IDC Energy Insights’ lead analyst concerning the transformation of utility markets across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Middle East and Africa (MEA). One of the governing ideas of the year is that flexibility is the only way to survive a dynamic and ever changing environment.

WU Executive Academy and Wing Media Energy Consulting have announced the launch of an innovative educational program for Romania, dedicated to the managers in the energy companies active locally and regionally. Executive Expert Energy is a training program pursing the MBA model, held over five days, involving reputed teachers with extensive practical expertise and pedagogical exercise.
