EUR 500 mln tender call for suspended Braila bridge announced

A tender for a suspended bridge was announced via the Board of the National Administration Company of Road Infrastructure (CNAIR). The value of the contract stands at EUR 500 million.

The bridge, projected to become the most complex infrastructure project developed in the the past 27 years, has a value of approximately EUR 500 million. The call was validated on Friday by the Național Agency for Public Acquisitions (ANAP), and was posted on the Electronic System of Public Acquisitions (SEAP).

After completion, the suspended Braila bridge will rank among the five bridges in Europe, with a central opening of 1,120 meters.

The deadline for the receiving the offers is 11 August 2017, at 4 pm.

The duration of the contract is of 114 months. The design phase will take 18 months, while the execution phase will take 36 months.

The investment project, with a total length of 23,413 kilometers, also includes projecting and executing the main road Braila-Jijila and of the DN 22 road, connecting Smardan to Macin.
