PSD official: Hooliganism overshadowed the protests

Finance Minister Eugen Teodorovici criticized the hooliganism that overshadowed the Diaspora protests.

“Unfortunately, in the last days, the legitimate right of our citizens to express themselves through protesting was overshadowed by hooliganism actions of brutes with human faces”, Eugen Teodorovici said.

At the end, paraphrasing Octavian Paler, he said that “he dares to say that for all those who feel Romanian, no matter where in the world we are, Romania remains our homeland, the rest are just countries”.

Tens of thousands of people participated in anti-government protests organized yesterday evening in all major cities – over 10,000 people on the streets of Iasi, another 8,000 in Timisoara, over 5,000 in Sibiu and around 3,000 in Cluj-Napoca.
