The seasonally adjusted GDP in the Euro zone grew by 0.3 percent in the second quarter of this year, the economy of the European Union grew by 0.4 percent, according to flash estimates from Eurostat, the statistics office of the EU.
In the first quarter, the GDP grew by 0.4 percent in both the euro area and the EU 28.
Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, seasonally adjusted GDP rose by 2.1 percent in the euro area and by 2.2 percent in the EU28 in the second quarter of 2018, after 2.5 percent and 2.4 percent respectively in the previous quarter.
