Bucharest-based Equalis Services, specializing in consultancy for public procurement, forecasts that the market will experience an accelerated growth in 2017, on the back of an increase in the interest of small and middle-sized companies in this type of projects.

According to the company, the adoption of a new regulation and the change in perception of the business environment regarding collaboration with public institutions are contributing factors.

The main recently-adopted legal measures, which facilitate access to public procurement procedures include: the possibility to analyze the documentation requirements and to draw attention to slippages in the process of market consultation, prior notifications that allow companies to warn authorities on the elements considered restrictive prior to submitting a complaint and halting the process, and more.

We aim to fight, step by step, the perception that doing business with the state is something wrong. This is the right moment to contribute to informing the market and to support companies, regardless of their size, to regain trust in public procurement. The consulting market for this type of acquisitions has a great development potential in the upcoming years, given that, from the point of view of the legal package, there constant efforts to streamline the processes,” Equalis Services CEO and founder Roxana Voicu said.

Founded in 2016, Equalys Services is a company with Romanian capital whose staff has more thn 10 years of experience in handling public procurement projects for clients în the private and public sectors.
