Enel Green Power Romania has inked an agreement with Elcomex, a company active on the local energy market, to develop a 272 MW wind farm in the Dobrogea area, about 30 km from the Black Sea coast.
According to company information, the project will be connected to the national grid once operational, but it has not been revealed whether an understanding with Transelectrica is in place yet.
Enel Green Power Romania has the option to buy the project company after all necessary approvals are obtained.
It will advance Elcomex a contribution of the total costs related to the project development, money which will be refunded if the Italian company decides not to exercise its option to purchase.
