Enel Distributie Muntenia has finalized the rehabilitation works for transformation station Pipera, following an investment of around RON 2.6 million, which will have an impact on around 30,000 users.
The transformation station is functioning since 1971 and benefited during time from several upgrades, such as the introduction of Telecontrol system. This allows the Enel technicians to make the refilling drills remotely when there are flaws.
Therefore, during July 2015-June 2016 Enel carried out upgrade works both to the high power network, as well as to the medium lines, aiming to increase the contininuity rates in the energy supply.
During the rehabilitation process elements of constructions from the exterior station were included, improving the environment protection level.
Moreover, the collectors for two of the five power transformation were replaced.
The upgrading project is part of a wider investment plan of Enel utility in Romania.
