Elis Pavaje closed 2017 with a slight increase in turnover and forecast an increase by 17 pct in 2018, betting on the possibility of a quick response to the market’s demands, as a result of the opening of a new production capacity in North of Moldova.
On a constructions market in decrease, Elis Pavaje succeeded to slightly exceed the sales from 2016 and consolidate its position on Romanian pavement market.
The turnover value of Elis Pavaje in 2017 was EUR 36 million.
Close to EUR 13 million were invested in 2017 for the construction of the this production unit in Secuienii Noi, Neamt county, in the development of a logistics unit by acquiring new machinery and merchandise transport for the relaunch of the showroom from Stoenesti, Prahova county.
“2017 was for us a development year, by opening the new production unit in Moldova and the expansion of the premium products range. Last year were launched 16 products. The company’s sales were supported by the private sector, due to the constructions volume decrease in the public sector and the infrastructure works. Thus, we are glad that the decisions of sales strategy change were successful,” said Emil Gota, general director of Elis Pavaje.
“ For 2018 we are optimistic that we’ll grow also in the important works in the public sector, due to the recent statements of central authorities regarding the continuation of infrastructure works continuation,” added Goța.
For 2018 the investments budget of the company reaches approximately EUR 6 million and will be allocated for the retechnologization of some production lines, marketing and investments in the professional development of the company’s employees.
The high number of clients in the private sector was also registered also in a context when the real estate market registered a significant drop in 2017: an increase by 70 percent on the residential constructions sector compared with the same period of 2017, according to the national Institute of statistics (INS).
The premium products are demanded more and more by the Romanian consumers, registering a sales increase by close to 60 percent compared with 2016.
