Electronic acquisitions through dedicated system increase 17 percent in Q2, 2010

The number of contracts attributed through the System of Electronic Acquisitions (SEAP) registered by August 31, 2010 was 17.3 times higher than the number of procedures attributed in the first quarter of this year, according to the barometer of the National Center of Management for Information Society.

By March, 983 procedures were attributed and their number increased up to a total of 17.009 on August 31. The value of these contracts amounts to EUR 1.7 billion (RON 7.4 billion) compared to the first quarter of 2010 when the value of the contracts was EUR 17 million (RON 75.6 million).

Since the beginning of the year up to the present, EUR 332 million (RON 1.412 billion) was saved through the SEAP, which means a saving rate of 16 percent.

The number of entities registered in the system on August 31 was 40,128, which represents a 14 percent growth compared to the first quarter of 2010.
