Starting with this year’s edition, Effie Romania is aligning totally to the international format by extending its mission from a festival of awarding the efficient marketing campaigns towards a platform with more events, workshops and materials focused on the learning area and feedback for an efficient marketing. The objective is to raise the standards of the local marketing and communication markets.
One of the most important changes is brought in the judging process through the introduction of the moderated debates.
The 10 moderators that will have the role to initiate and lead the discussion between the members of the jury are: Adina Nica, managing director Open-I Research, Adriana Gherman, CMK senior manager The Procter & Gamble Company, Angela Gavrilescu, senior consultant The Network, Dan Zloteanu business consultant & marketing researcher MRI Research & Consulting / part of TheNetwork, Diana Flutur, managing director, Owner MRI Research & Consulting / part of TheNetwork, Eusediu Margasoiu, managing partner The Network, Iuri Constantinov, marketing director The Nielsen Company, Mihaela Alexandru, research director 360Insights, Madalina Carstea, custom research & strategy director GFK and Narcis Horhoianu, marketing director Heineken Romania.
If until now each of the 60 jury members was giving grades to the case studies individually, the new strategy encourages the discussion among them. The role of the moderators will be to create the context in which the members of the jury will understand as best as possible the specific of every category, but also of every case study, through helping questions that will eliminate as best as possible any misunderstanding. Moreover, all these discussion will contribute to the creation of Effie Insight Guide, which will sum up the most important reactions and suggestions of the jurors about the trends observed following the judging session. The guide aimis to help the agencies and the clients create campaigns with maximum efficiency.
All the judging and moderation processes will revolve around four key points: Communications challenge and objectives, Strategic insights and idea, Bringing the idea to life & Results. There will be two rounds of judging, as well as two awards galas– the first focused on the nominations and the second on the winners.
