With sales of hundreds of millions euros, the eCommerce market is becoming more and more profitable and accessible for everyone. Every year, sales soar all across Europe, including Romania. The products Romanians invest in the most are included in categories such as electronics, fashion, home & deco and various items for children.

Sell them your story! is the theme for this year’s premium online commerce event, TeCOMM eCommece Conference&Expo Bucharest, which is now at its 10th edition, gathering together Eastern European trendsetters. Between April 26 and 27, Bucharest will host over 250 participants at the TeCOMM conference, which, in fact, stands behind most success stories in the online industry.

Online shop owners and E-commerce professionals will host interactive workshops, presentations and debates, sharing their business knowledge and the strategies that granted their success.

Online commerce and its constant growth

According twenga-solutions.com, 73,5 percent of the European population uses the internet, rendering the potential for online commerce immense, as shown by the data provided by . It is estimated that two thirds shopped online in 2015. Some of the most popular products in Europe have been clothing and sports items. The United Kingdom, Germany and France are not only the ones that hold the most market distribution in those fields, but they also own 81,5 percent of European sales, says twenga-solutions.com

Online commerce becomes more and more profitable in Romania as well. In 2016, about 6,8 million Romanians shopped online, and estimations show that over EUR 2 billion have been spent, according to the Romanian Association of Online Stores, as reported on by dcnews.ro.

What do clients expect from the online medium?

Maintaining the client base is one of the main aspects online shops care about, in order to develop their brands and increase their sales, even more so in an age where client preferences change on a constant basis. Therefore, the question that arises is “Do you really know what your clients want?”. During TeCOMM Bucharest, the British speaker Mike Bainbridge, Chief Digital Technologist at Rackspace, will present means of figuring out client needs in the online medium. Using his more than 18 years of IT experience, Mike Bainbridge is responsible for UX, performance and criteria of success in Rackspace, a company that provides cloud computing on a global scale.

“What is my advice for businessmen in 2017? The main issues worth paying attention to are future performance and putting the data to good use. Undoubtedly, there are companies that analyze data and they have a great advantage, such as the one I represent. If you make decisions and you trust human resources or even your own intuition, then you must prioritize a data analyzing strategy. The biggest increase on the job market is represented by data analysis specialists”, as Mike Bainbridge has recently stated.

A similar topic is the one proposed for debate by Eugen Potlog, UX Lead&Product Manager at Conversion, part of eMAG Group. Eugen will present the way in which one’s relationship with clients in the online medium can surpass the barriers of the mundane. Eugen has over 10 years of experience in the digital world and throughout his career, he has coordinated the development of some of the most well-known online platforms in Romania, more specifically, Profitshare and Conectoo.

One of the elements that must never be overlooked in eCommerce is marketing, and at TeCOMM Bucharest, Attila Birtha, Digital Marketing Strategist and the founder of Proclick will be present. As a top Romanian marketing agency, Proclick has been helping top Romanian companies achieve their goals in the digital marketing field for more than 10 years.

For the first time in Romania,  Richard Prenderville (CMO & Founder, Peloton Digital Marketing Group) from the United States, is joining renouned international speakers such as Richard Clark (Marketing Director Boohoo), Nick Lansley (Innovation Insider Nick Lansley’s Innovation Lab), Carlo Terreni (Director General, Netcomm Suisse), Sven Bally (Founder&Consultant, XETA) and Horia Grozea (Director Online&Mobile Payments, Netopia). TeCOMM Bucharest will be moderated by Ovidiu Joița (Owner, Iagency).
