Duraziv, a Romanian manufacturer of building materials, reported paint sales of EUR 1.7 million in the first ten months of 2011. The company had previously estimated sales worth EUR 1.5 million for the whole year, in the paint segment.

Duraziv opened a production line for paints in the second half of 2010 and the ongoing investment has reached EUR 1 million up to this point. Ten months into 2011, the paints division contributed with 10.8 percent of the total Duraziv business. The paints segment reached sales of EUR 585.000 in the first semester of 2011. In 2010, the company reported a turnover of EUR 13.5 million, up 50 percent from the previous year.

“The fact that we have been able to sell paint of over EUR 1 million in less than nine months of 2011, on a dynamic market, has confirmed the quality of products we manufacture”, stated Daniel Guzu, founding manager of Duraziv.

Duraziv has reported a 32.7 increase of revenue in the first nine months of 2011, and the adhesives segment has gained 40 percent in the same period.

The company expects a 30 percent increase of the business in 2011, up 5 percent from the previous forecast. Only in February, Duraziv reported revenues exceeding EUR 1 million. July and August have also represented periods of increased revenue for Duraziv.
