Dunapack Rambox, the Romanian company of Dunapack Packaging division, signed an agreement for the acquisition of 11.5 hectares of field in order to build a greenfield factory of corrugated cardboard packages near Bucharest. Also, the existent factory from Sfantu Gheorghe will have a technical upgrade.
The new factory of 22,000 sqm in Bolintin, at 20 km in West from Bucharest, will have a machine of corrugated cardboard of high speed, as well as several manufacturing machines of several colors and boxes. The annual production capacity is forecasted at 180 million sqm/year. The new factory will complement the existent factory in Sfantu Gheorghe, Covasna.
Both factories will reach an annual production capacity of 300 million sqm.
Alexander Enzenberg, managing director of Dunapack Packaging division (photo left) says: „The new greenfield factory near Bucharest is a fantastic occasion to strengthen the strategic position of Dunapack Rambox company on the Romanian company. With two factories in the region we will provide an optimum logistic organization.”
Thus, Dunapack Packaging division will be represented in 10 countries, with 19 factories of packages from corrugated cardboard.
Dunapack Packaging division is part of the firms group Prinzhorn with headquarter in Austria, which has 6,300 employees in 15 countries.
