Don't miss this weekend: A full-scale Lego replica of the Lamborghini Sián will be showcased in Bucharest

For less than one week, between November 26-30, Park Lake Shopping Center in Bucharest will host a breathtaking lifesize Lego reproduction of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, meticulously crafted over 8,660 hours using exclusively Lego Technic components.

Comprising over 400,000 Lego pieces and weighing 2.2 tons, the car was a collaborative effort involving fifteen designers, engineers, and builders. They utilized 154 types of Lego Technic pieces to recreate every detail of the Lamborghini Sián, from the manually painted exterior – employing a groundbreaking technique from Automobili Lamborghini’s official painting workshop – to the authentic functioning headlights.

Valery Kasimov, country manager Romania & Bulgaria for the Lego Group, emphasized the significance of this creation, stating, “Lego Technic sets represent the pinnacle of innovation in toys for children and adults alike since 1977.” He expressed pride in the Lego Group’s ability to push creative boundaries, resulting in remarkable, life-sized sports car models like the Lamborghini Sián.

The name “Sián,” meaning “lightning” in the Bolognese dialect, inspired the meticulous detailing. Electricians working on the replica ensured that even the most subtle features were highlighted. The front headlights, reminiscent of the epsilon letter in the Greek alphabet, and the hexagonal rear lights, illuminate the spectacular contours of the car with decorative LEDs stylized in the form of lightning. Special transparent and red elements were specifically crafted to enhance these details.

Paying homage to the authentic Lamborghini Sián model, the body consists of a matrix of over 1,400 hexagonal pieces. This design choice not only reflects the significance of the six-sided pattern in Automobili Lamborghini’s design language but also allowed engineers to experiment with construction lines, ensuring a faithful recreation of the iconic Italian car.

For avid Lego Technic enthusiasts, a 1:8 scale replica of this masterpiece is available as a home-buildable set, allowing fans to recreate the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 in the comfort of their homes.

Following its Bucharest debut, the awe-inspiring replica will grace Cluj-Napoca from December 2 to December 7 at Vivo! Mall, open for viewing between 10:00 and 22:00 in both cities.
