Deloitte Romania adds two new partners

Professional services firm Deloitte Romania has announced the appointment of John Ploem (left in picture) and Steve Openshaw as partners, in a bid to support the growth of the business. Following the latest raft of promotions, Deloitte Romania has 20 partners.

Ploem has joined Deloitte Romania as tax partner and COO. In this position, he is responsible for the internal services of practice, particularly in developing the support infrastructure and working with the newly developed European Delivery Centers in Romania. He will continue to be also a tax partner. Prior to Romania, Ploem has worked in the Czech Republic, after living and working in Belgium as registered tax advisor with the Belgian Institute of Accountants and Tax Consultants.

Openshaw has joined Deloitte Romania as audit partner after serving in the Moscow office. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA).
