Decathlon, the leading European sporting goods retailer, opened the fifth store in Bucharest and its 23rd in Romania in Veranda Mall.
By implementing the new Borna Plus service, shop visitors have the ability to order online products from several points on-site, other than those available in the commercial space, which are delivered free of charge at home.
”The new Decathlon space in Bucharest boasts accessibility, it will be located within a proximity shopping center and offering a new shopping experience, with the store clearly focusing on users. It features a number of product testing areas as well as services that emphasize the omnichannel direction and integrates offline and online experiences, ”said Gwenn Hervo, Expansion Manager at Decathlon Romania.
The store has a surface of 1,800 sqm and corresponds to the format of the Decathlon shopping mall. The new center of Decathlon in the Capital city provides more than 5,000 items and equipment for users to practice over 60 sports and a 600-meter test ground with free access.
In 2017, the sports retailer opened three new stores – in Botosani, Buzau and Piatra Neamt – and modernized the store located in the Pallady shopping center in Bucharest.
Last year, the company opened the first Logistics Center in Romania, which supplies three Southeast European countries.
