Dacia reached a sales record at global level to 655,000 units in 2017, which represents a new record for Renault group.

Last year was the first year where less than half of the Dacia cars were produced at Mioveni, the rest were produced in Morocco (Tangier and Casablanca). France was the biggest market for Dacia and three other markets exceeded 50,000 units, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Dacia sales reached 655,235 units in 2017, by 12.2 percent more than the level from 2016.

Out of the sales from 2016, 320,000 cars were produced at Mioveni.

Last year 312,000 of the Dacia cars were produced in Arges, which means for the first time under 50 percent of the total.

With 43,262 sold cars and a share of 29 percent of the sales of new cars, Dacia was the leader on the Romanian market in 2017.

The program “Rabla” in 2017 was a success again, as from the overall Dacia cars sold through this program, 47 percent were delivered by Dacia.

With over 16,200 units sold, meaning approximately 40 percent of the overall sales of the brand, Logan Sedan continues to be the most popular Dacia model in Romania.

Overall were sold 611,973 cars abroad, an increase by 12 percent. Europe is the leader of the rank per regions, over 460,000 cars sold by Dacia in 2017.

With close to 120,00 units, which represents the best performance until now, France is the first export destination, followed by Germany with close to 65,000 units sold, Italy with over 63,000 units, and Spain with more than 56,000  Dacia cars sold.
