Prices for two-wheel drive Dusters with diesel engines vary from EUR 12,150 to 13,800; four-wheel drive diesels can go for between EUR 14,700 and 15,600. The carmaker has spent EUR 290 million on developing the Duster, investing EUR 70 million in its plant in Mioveni.
The factory can build up to 25 Duster cars per hour. In time, the new model could account for more than a third of the plant’s production. The SUV will be available from spring on markets in Europe, Turkey and North Africa. As of June it will be marketed under the Renault brand in Ukraine, the Middle East and certain countries in Africa. The Mioveni factory will produce vehicles destined for all these markets, under both the Dacia and Renault brands. Apart from the Duster, Dacia makes six other vehicles: the Logan Berlina, Logan MCV, Logan Van, Logan Pick-up, Dacia Sandero and Dacia Sandero Stepway.
