Dacia cars’ sales in Germany went up by 21 percent in April to 5,269, while overall sales of new cars in Germany dropped by 8 percent to 290,697 units, according to the data from the Federal Authority from Transports (KBA) published on Wednesday, according to Reuters.
The Diesel cars deliveries dropped by 19 percent in April, considering that politicians discuss the forbiddance of this type of cars in certain areas and the replacement of the old engines with cleaner ones to reduce the pollution. The market share of the diesel cars dropped by 41 percent but the electric cars deliveries went up, says the KBA.
Volkswagen and BMW saw their sales fall by 12.5 percent and 14 percent in April, while Renault and Ford deliveries registered a decline of 4.1 percent and 6.8 percent, respectively.
In the first four months of this year, the new cars sales on the biggest auto market from Europe went up by 2.5 percent to 1.14 million units, while Dacia had an increase of 31.1 percent to 19,313 cars.
Volkswagen and BMW registered drops in sales by 6.6 percent and 0.3 percent during January-April, while Renault and Ford deliveries had an increase of 18.2 percent and 3.9 percent, respectively.
