CTP has announced the start of the construction works for a new building in the CTPark Bucharest West. With an area of 60,000 square meters, the new unit will require an investment of EUR 35 million.

“The completion is announced for the second quarter of next year. The building will be developed on the same high technical standards and is designed in conjunction with expanding business parks, and this construction is generated by high demand on the market for class A + logistics, ” says Marian Orzu, head of Leasing and Business Development Department at CTP Romania.

The new generation of warehouses has a usable height of 12 m, the lighting will be LED with attendance and twilight.

“The building will be equipped with protection systems and fire-fighting equipment according to the latest standards. In addition, buildings are designed and will be certified according to the standard Breeam, being effective from energetic point of view,” says Florin Stroe, head of construction and facility management at CTP.

“The new demand for industrial spaces will continue to come mostly from automotive companies, many of the existing ones have already gone through various stages of enlargement in 2016. Therefore, we should expect new entries and dynamic movements from other companies as well. Retail chains will continue to invest in development, therefore it could generate new expansions in areas already dedicated to logistics. The pressure generated by the low vacancy rate could lead to a new industrial premises and stock at slightly higher rents in 2017,” also says Orzu.
