Omer Tetik was appointed president of Credit Europe Bank Romania and also president of the bank’s board of directors by the lender’s general shareholders’ meeting. He previously served as vice president. Tetik has been part of the bank’s executive team since 2000. Over the years he was the head of the Treasury, Financial Institutions, Retail Banking and Cards divisions.
Murat Sabaz, the bank’s current president, will continue to be a member of the board of directors and will coordinate all of Credit Europe Bank’s financial investments in Romania. Following the same shareholders’ meeting, Murat Basbay, the new CEO of Credit Europe Bank, was also designated as a member of the board of directors of Credit Europe Bank Romania.
All these new management appointments must be approved by the National Bank of Romania (BNR).
