The US ambassador to Romania, Hans Klemm, is among the confirmed key speakers of Country Focus Community Forum, the 2-day event organized by Business Review magazine on June 13-14.

Romania and the US have a strong strategic partnership that spans the political, military and business fields and high ranking officials on both sides of the Atlantic have underlined the need to further enhance the diplomatic ties in the next year. Another sign of the close relation between Romania and the US is the planned meeting between president Klaus Iohannis and his American counterpart Donald Trump.

On September 21, 2015, Klemm assumed the duties of US Ambassador to Romania. Previously, he was the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Human Resources, and served as Acting Director General of the Foreign Service and Acting Director of Personnel of the Department of State from July 2013 through December 2014.

In 2012, Ambassador Klemm was the US Senior Official to APEC, the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, and from 2010 led all U.S. civilian and military rule of law programs in Afghanistan.

The activity of the American investment community in Romania will be highlighted during the Country Focus Community Forum, which will be attended by high-level executives, entrepreneurs, officials and investors from the strongest foreign communities in Romania.
