Confident Communications, a specialised marketing communications agency, is the new partner for the Romanian Smart City Association (ARSC), the primary independent authority in the Romanian Smart City industry. ARSC has taken on the mission of promoting the development of smart cities in the country by collaborating with public authorities and industry partners to implement innovative solutions that enhance the quality of life.

From 2016 to the present day, ARSC’s experts and professionals have contributed to the reinvention of cities and have undertaken large-scale projects, such as the Smart City Academy – the first such specialised course in Romania, the publication of Smart City Magazine – the first magazine dedicated to the industry, and the national program “Smart City Caravan” – conducted in the main regions of Romania. In almost 8 years of activity, ARSC has provided direct expertise in more than 100 communities and projects, working alongside a team of almost 40 experts – from the creation of Smart City, Smart County and Smart Village strategies to providing consultancy services and technology recommendations.

Within this collaboration, Confident and ARSC have proposed a series of initiatives and communication directions aimed at promoting the Smart City concept in Romania and its widespread adoption.

The strategy covers a wide range of topics based on ARSC’s mission and vision, including the environment, digitalisation, passenger transport, education, and special projects aimed at communities.

“We have a team that does things smartly and constantly seeks innovation, so the partnership with ARSC was a natural fit. We know that the future of communities today depends more than ever on the implementation of Smart City technologies, ranging from urban mobility and digitalisation to initiatives in health, safety, education, and culture. We’ve rolled up our sleeves and will work hand in hand with ARSC to build communities firmly anchored in this transition process towards smart cities, and we are confident that our efforts will truly make an impact,”, stated Mara Gojgar, Founder of Confident Communications.

“Since its inception, ARSC has aimed to offer communities real development opportunities, and we firmly believe that people can be happier, healthier, smarter, and more prosperous. To achieve these goals, everyone’s contribution is needed. Smart City does not only mean implementing technology but improving the lives of citizens. We are pleased with the enthusiasm and expertise in communicating innovations that we found in our new communication partners. We are confident that, together with the Confident team, our messages and projects will become more effective”, added Eduard Dumitraşcu, President of ARSC.

The Romanian Association for Smart City (ARSC) is a non-governmental organization established in 2016 with the aim of supporting the development of smart cities in Romania. ARSC, along with over 300 members and partners, promotes innovation, digitalisation, and new technologies as means to transform local communities into smart and sustainable cities, developing efficient and sustainable solutions for cities and communities in Romania.

ARSC’s partner portfolio includes companies such as Microsoft, Orange, Asseco SEE, Urban Scope, Network One Distribution, Simavi, Enel X, Samsung, Lenovo, public institutions such as Romanian Post, TPBI, Ancom, ANPC, STB and, of course, local authorities: District 4 City Hall, District 6 City Hall, and Iași, Sibiu, Ploiești, Craiova, Galați city halls.

Founded in 2011, The Confident Group consists of Confident, a business communication consultancy specialized in marketing communication for key industries such as tech, real estate, healthcare, automotive, and B2B, alongside Venus Five Studio, a visual production studio covering photography, video, podcast, and live streaming.

In 2021, Confident won 2 Silver awards for Tech PR and Brand PR – New products & services at the PR Award Gala, and in 2020, the agency received the Consultancy of the Year distinction in the same competition.
