Commissioner Corina Cretu visits Romania on Monday and Tuesday

Commissioner Corina Cretu visits Romania on Monday and Tuesday, when she has scheduled meetings with PM Mihai Tudose and several members of the Government, and will take part in some actions regarding the European financing, according to a release.

According to the source, the commissioner will meet with PM Tudose, with the minister of the Internal Affairs, Carmen Dan, with the minister of Transports, Felix Stroe, the delegated minister for European funds Marius Nica, the delegated minister for European affairs Victor Negrescu and the state secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Raed Arafat.

During the visit, Cretu will take part in projects and the ceremony of signing several contracts with European financing. Also she will attend the Structural Funds Gala 2017 and the awarding ceremony of the contest for pupils “European leader” and will have a dialogue with the citizens.

She said that “there were several efforts made to implement the financing programs through cohesion policy in Romania and the registered progresses are clear.”

“They have to continue. As I often said, the efficient investment, whose benefits for citizens are rapidly seen, represent the main reason to maintain the cohesion policy among the European important policies during the post-2020 period, ” according to the release.
