Cognyte Romania, a global leader in investigative analytics software development, invests in its employees’ wellbeing and work-life balance and enhances its compensation and benefits package to adapt to future trends.

The company introduces the concept of long weekends and offers employees the possibility to enjoy additional paid leave four times a year, over the standard annual leave, aiming to support the team to disconnect from work and recharge.

All 2,000 global Cognyte employees, of which 130 in the growing office in Romania, receive the new type of non-salary benefit starting this year, as part of the company’s strategy to encourage a better work-life balance, with a better separation between personal and professional life. More precisely, Cognyte employees benefit from 2 additional days of paid personal leave and another 4 “quiet days”, each connected to one weekend per quarter. This strategy is based on an extensive analysis, both regionally and internationally, confirming that the most important thing for employees is the balance between work and private life.

“The idea of a 4-day work week is an increasingly attractive concept in the labor market, as a potential solution in the long term to current challenges in people’s way of working and work-life balance. At Cognyte, we are already following this trend and we are turning four weeks per year, once every quarter, into 4-day work weeks followed by long weekends. This enhances our compensation and benefits package, as part of our strategy to retain and attract talents, taking our innovative approach regarding non-financial benefits to the next level”, says Razvan Duica, country manager at Cognyte Romania.

Cognyte’s benefit package already includes flexible schedule, a hybrid model of work, breakfast in the office, wellbeing sessions and workshops and encouraging reading and the company will continue to focus on adding new benefits in the future. The software company also invests in programs that aim to support not only employees but also their families.

“Our global employee assistance program provides a wide range of support services for their mental, financial, physical and emotional wellbeing. The company’s employees have access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to a telephone line for consultations, as well as the possibility to meet directly with the experts. Also, as remote work becomes semi-permanent, to ensure optimal working conditions, Cognyte financially supports its employees to build their home office with high quality furniture, a comfortable chair and all the accessories they need so they can perform at the highest level”, adds Rini Karlin, Chief People Officer at Cognyte.

Cognyte’s extra-benefit packages are also complemented by office massages to de-stress, relax and comfort employees. At the same time, gifts are sent to employees at personal events, like various anniversaries, weddings or the birth of a child, or baskets of goodies and “get well soon” cards for employees who miss work for health reasons.
