Chinese language version of Klaus Iohannis’ book Step by Step to be launched in Beijing

President Klaus Iohannis’ first book, Step by Step, will be launched at the 2016 Beijing International Book Fair (August 24-26). 

The book, President Iohannis’ first, was published at the initiative of Beijing-based publishing house Zhong Yi, and was translated into Chinese by professor Dong XiXiao. According to a statement published on the website of the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR), the event is scheduled to take place on August 25 at Authors’ events corner, and not at Romania’s official stand. State advisor with the Presidential Administration’s Education and Research Department will attend the event in the Chinese capital.

ICR did not contribute financially to the translation of President Iohannis’ book, the statement adds. The book was published in Romania by the Curtea Veche Publishing House. Romania will be represented by a number of 1.200 albums and books at the Beijing International Book Fair.

President Iohannis has published a total of two books. The last one, The First Step, was launched in 2015.
