Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania awards performance of top companies

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania awarded last week the performance of the top Romanian companies during the Gala of the National Top of Companies, the 20^th edition of this event. The National Top of Companies is organized exclusively by the National Chamber, based on a complex methodology, implemented and validated by the Romanian Chamber System.

The National Top of Companies in Romania retains the top 10 positions for each of the six major areas of activity, activity groups and enterprise size classes, structured according to the Classification of the National Economy of Romania (CNER code). The National Chamber honors at this Gala the companies ranking first in each area, group and enterprise size class.

Among the indicators used in this classification of the companies mention must be made of: turnover, the operating profit, the operating profit rate, the human resource efficiency, the efficient use of employed capital, based on the data recorded in the balance sheets for 2012. There are not eligible: interest groups, companies whose amount of the total debt due in relation to social security and state budget and taxes due to local budgets exceed the amount of receivables or companies for which at least one indicator is negative.

The 20^th edition of the National Top of Companies includes 6,516 operators ranking in the top nationally in six major areas of activity, namely: research and development and high- tech (600) Industry (2,477), agriculture, fisheries and fishing (261) construction (281) services (1,977) trade – tourism (920). A total of 920 firms were selected for the National Award.

At the event, the 2013 edition of the catalogue of the National Top of Companies was launched. It includes the most valuable database for the Romanian business environment, representing the coordinates of 6,516 companies ranked in the national top 10, among which, 920 companies are ranked first.
