CEC Bank has started the recruitment for administration council members

The Ministry of Public Finance has started the procedure of personnel recruitment for the selection of the nine members of administration council of CEC Bank. The announcement was posted on the Electronic System of Public Acquisitions.

„I consider that in all the state-owned companies the corporate governance implementation is necessary to improve the quality of the gods and services offered by the public companies, as well as for the financial performances growth. As a result of the law adoption by the Parliament, we chose to start the procedures for the selection of the CEC board because of the importance that this institution has in the banking system. It’s just the start, the process is wider, that will continue the next week with tenders also for the rest of the companies from the Ministry subordination, ” says the minister of Public Finance, Anca Dragu.

The contract with maturity in December 31 has a value of RON 129,600 without VAT. The amount will be financed from the budget of the Public Finance Ministry.

According to the law, it’s mandatory that the candidates selection to be made by an independent expert, an individual or a company, specialized in HR recruitment, and in the case of public enterprises that have a turnover of EUR 7.3 million and at least 50 employees. CEC Bank is included in this category.

Until now, the Ministry of Public Finance has only one company subordinated, the National Company of Romanian Printing, that since 2012 has appointed professional administration council and directorate members.
