Cars trade turnover volume up by 13.1 pct in January

The cars and motors trade turnover increased year-on-year by 13.1 percent in January, an accelerated trend compared with the previous month, while the services carried out by population increased by 9.7 percent, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

In December 2017, compared with 2016, the cars trade increased by 7.1 percent and the services carried out by population increased by 20.1 percent.

In January 2018 the cars and motorcycles trade turnover volume increased both on gross series as well as on adjusted series, according to the number of working days and seasons by 13.1 percent each.

The increase was supported by the increases in the cars trade (+20 percent), motorcycles trade, items and related accessories; in the motorcycles maintenance and service (+14.9 percent) and in the trade with accessories for cars (+9.4 percent). The maintenance and service of cars dropped by 2.3 percent.

Also in January 2018 compared with January 2017, the turnover volume of market services for population increased both on gross series by 9.7 percent, as well as on adjusted series according to the number of working days and season by 8.8 percent.
