Carrefour appoints Francois Melchior de Polignac new GM for Romania

Francois-Melchior de Polignac was appointed the new executive director of Carrefour Romania, starting this May. He is replacing Patrice Lespganol, who is moving to run Carrefour Greece.

De Polignac, who is 38 years old, has started his career in L’Oreal Italy. In 2000 he joined Carrefour, after having spent three years with Boston Consulting Group in Paris. He has since occupied several functional positions (mergers & acquisitions, project manager) and operational ones (hypermarket director, operational director, director for supermarkets division) in France and Poland.
